Privacy
Your information,handled with care.
What we collect, why, who helps us process it, and your rights. Last updated 19 October 2026.
1. Who is responsible for your information
The data controller is Jon Pulman Property Consultancy, Milówka 34-360, Poland (NIP PL5532568011), trading as JP Property Consultancy. Contact us about anything in this policy at jon@jppropertyconsultancy.com.
2. What we collect
- Consultation enquiries: your name, email address, and optionally phone number and town or postcode; your situation, where things stand, whether you have an estate agent, your timing, and what you tell us about your move.
- General messages: your name, email address and message.
- How you found us: when you send either form, it includes the page you sent it from and, if you arrived from another website or a link (for example a search engine or a LinkedIn post), the name of that website or link, plus your answer to "How did you hear about Jon?" if you give one. This travels in the web address between pages; nothing is stored on your device.
- If you book a consultation: our emails with you, payment confirmation (we never see or store your card details), notes Jon makes during the consultation, and the written summary we send you.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider briefly processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
Please do not send us sensitive information such as health, financial account or identity details. We do not need it to advise you.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and decide whether a consultation is suitable: steps you ask us to take before entering a contract.
- To provide the consultation and written summary, and take payment: performing our contract with you.
- To reply to general messages and keep the website secure: our legitimate interests in running the business and protecting the site.
- To keep business and tax records: our legal obligations.
We do not send marketing emails, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who helps us process it
We use a small number of trusted providers, under contracts that require them to protect your information:
- Netlify, Inc. (website hosting and enquiry form handling)
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365 email)
- Stripe (consultation payments)
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (anonymous, cookie-free visitor statistics)
- Our accountant, where needed for business and tax records
Some providers may process data outside the UK and European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy arrangement. We never sell or share your information for marketing.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website does not use cookies, and it does not store anything on your device.
To understand which pages are useful, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device, does not track individual visitors, and gives us only anonymous totals such as page views, referring websites, countries and page load times. Cloudflare is a US company; transfers are covered by the safeguards in section 4.
The site's fonts and images are served from our own domain. Apart from the anonymous visitor statistics above, no third party sees your visit.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a consultation: deleted within 12 months.
- Client records (correspondence, notes, summary, payment confirmation): kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, normally six years after your consultation, then deleted.
- General messages: deleted within 12 months unless they lead to ongoing work.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you or another organisation in a portable form. Email jon@jppropertyconsultancy.com. We will reply within one month. There is no charge.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection regulator: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in Poland, where the business is based, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl).
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects information you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
